Though you wouldn't guess it in a million years, speaking random phrases out of a dictionary, this piece was originally meant to be a photorealistic (well, relatively) representation of a friend's back yard. I got a basic background on it (the blue), and realized I'd misjudged the proportions of the two blobs of orange. No matter how many times I tried, I just couldn't get them close. So I gave up, played with it a little bit, and wound up with something I'm very happy with (even if Amy can't stand all the orange). I did in fact get back to this piece, and you can see some of what it was supposed to be in my piece titled 'Amphora'. At least, you should be able to match up the two blobs...
